I hear a lot 'you're in the friend zone bro' or 'he friend zoned her'. Mostly on the Internet if I'm honest. Few people refer to it explicitly here in the UK :P
I also hear it's considerably harder for a man to break out of the friend zone than it is a woman-why? Seems very double-standards-y.
I mean I've just been 'friend zoned' by my ex but that's because she believes in no sex before marriage etc., so essentially every guy has been friend zoned by her. I'm not happy about it but it's a complicated situation and the break-up's become quite mutual.
I find this concept repulsive, is it even real?
