I just recently re-connected with a girl I went to high school with. We had a very flirty high school relationship, but nothing ever happened from it. Mostly because I was incredibly shy when it came to pulling the trigger as a teenager (though you could make the argument that, 12 years later, that hasn't changed either).
Anyways, we re-connected and she invited me out for her birthday. I show up and we re-clicked. It was like being in high school again; joking around, hugging, just generally being in each other vicinities the whole time.
We texted a little bit after her birthday and we talked about getting lunch sometime (turns out our offices are kinda close), and I said I'd call her and we'll set something up. I called her a few days later, no answer so I left a voicemail. Called again a few days later to follow up, voice mail again except I didn't leave a message.
If you've watched The Newsroom, 2 rings means they're screening you, 4 rings means they just weren't able to answer the phone. I got 4.
It's been 4 days since the last call, and as much as I don't want to be counting the days without a call, I really want to at least take her out to dinner and see what goes from there. Do you think not hearing back from her is a sign that she's not interested?
