Do guys want serious relationships?

Just wondering really. I'm 21 and he's almost 23 and we've been together for a year. He's joked about us getting married, and he quite often talks about us moving in together in about a year from now. The reason it's a year from now is because I'm waiting on a job to start and we would both need to save a lot of money first.

Obviously I'm all for this and would be so happy if all that happened, but I've been to uni and had my time to be reckless and young etc. He's never been to uni, he's worked non stop since 18. I know he's had periods of clubbing, alcohol, drugs, sex (not that I'm endorsing any of that lol). He's now very keen on his job and progressing in it and doesn't like going out and stuff very often.

But I can't imagine that at 23/24 year old guy would be ready to settle down into a serious relationship. I would say its a serious one now but obviously there's no commitments like living together and we're still both free to do what we want to with our own money and stuff.

My question is do guys want serious relationships at that age? Or do they want to wait until they're say 26 and older? I don't want to waste years and make commitments if when he's 26 he might turn around and say 'oh I want to experience being young, free and single'.
