A girl at my university asked to touch my hair the other day when we were all sitting together. Now I am very proud of my hair and I have contempt for bald and balding people, not only is my hair more luscious than any other guy I know it is also more pristine than any girl I know. So I laughed and said to her 'of course not! A lower class peasant like you is not worthy of even looking at my hair!'. Now, my friends thought my reply was hilarious but the girl got very upset and afterwards one of her female friends, said that the girl liked me and that was her way of trying to show it. Was I a bit mean to her. I know I was well within my rights to say what I said but do you think I should have rephrased it in a more gentle manner? No nasty replies please.
