If you were a teacher, how would you feel if a student wrote you a story?

I had a teacher I was really close to, we even text and now she doesn't talk to me because I screwed it up. She was my only friend and I miss her too much. She's an English teacher and she made me adore English and love reading. She said the nicest present I could give her was a story I wrote. If you were a teacher or are a teacher how would you feel if one of your stdents wrote you a story, a full novel not just a two pager?
