So, I started speaking to this girl who was doing the same gap year course as myself for quite a while and I developed feelings for her. We are now on this course and get on really well. However, she has a long term boyfriend who will be at the same university as her next year. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't think males and females can be just friends and so if nothing happens between us, I don't see the point in remaining friends as our universities are a few hours apart. It's really disappointing because I don't think she likes me and therefore it seems inevitable that we won't remain close which is devastating because I really like her. Advice anyone, please? Apologies for the rather strange rant.
