So obviously this has happened to me. Ten years of close friendship and the closest person I have to a sister. She has a history of depression but I have always been the person she confides in.
A year ago she got a boyfriend who is a bit controlling. She told me the nasty things he would sometimes say and told me they fought constantly. Around this time I moved abroad to work and the last time we spoke properly (last November :() she told me he asked her to move in but she wasn't ready. She moved in two weeks later. She then asked if she could come & visit for a week, maybe longer. I said yes and she was just about to book flights then nothing. I received one xmas message, but when I tried to meet up with her over the hols she ignored me. Believe me: she has got the messages, she is just ignoring them.
I tried reaching out in a message, even said if whatever reason she no longer wanted the friendship I wished her happiness but she ignored that too. She has disappeared from my life after years of being my closest friend. She is always posting on facebook about her "lovely boyfriend" and honestly I resent that she can read about my online life while making no effort. Would you delete her?
