Me and my girlfriend have been together for about half a year now and we are very happy with each other. I'm really grateful to have her.
Anyway there is this guy that she is very good friends with, and they have had a history together in the past. However, she claims that there are no feelings between either of them now.
However recently they went out drinking together and then he was going to stay over at hers but she eventually stayed over at his.
I told her that I was uncomfortable with the idea that a straight male who she has had history with was drinking with her and stayed over in a house where only two of them were in. She started raising her voice and repeating that he was her best friend, to which I made up the scenario that the roles were reversed and she was in my shoes, and she agreed she'd share an uncomfortable feeling.
She thinks I do not trust her and this is not the truth. I trust her enough to let her go to a party coming up in a few weeks that is going to have a guy who is interested in her there. I have insecurity issues and difficulty trusting people to a point where it is ridiculous, but over time I have learned to trust her through experience of where she has demonstrated her loyalty towards me.
We have both cheated on ex's in the past but we are each others first true loves/ serious relationship.
