My boyfriend of 3 years and I were talking about our views on sex recently. I told him that before I met him I never had casual sex with anyone because I get emotionally attached very easily and I didn't want to end up getting hurt. He on the other hand says he doesn't find sex emotional at all and it doesn't mean much to him.
I thought he was talking about casual sex, but when I asked him if sex with me means something to him, he basically said that it doesn't and that it would be no different from casual sex with a stranger (not in those words, but that's what he meant!).
I can't help feeling a little hurt. I have nothing against people having casual sex, but I find it upsetting that he doesn't see sex with me anymore that just physical pleasure.
I just want to know what you guys think about this. Is this a normal way to feel about sex in a long-term relationship??
