so i'm in year 13 now, and my birthday is in august so i'm just 17. im the youngest child so my mum just cant let go of me and babies me to the point where shes trying to persuade me to take a gap year just so i can be with her another year. she constantly questions me on where im going, who with etc.
she's really funny about me going to parties, and doesnt let me drink and makes my dad drop me off and pick me up at 11:30. she wouldnt even let me go to london last year for new years eve because there would be too many people there. the whole drinking thing really gets me down because its not like i would ever go crazy, but all my friends can go out and have these experiences and i feel so left out.
the most recent bombshell was he telling me im not allowed to go on a girls holiday with my 3 best friends in July (i know its ages away) because i wont be 18 yet- i will be 18 literally 3 weeks after!!! and im not allowed to drink a drop of alcohol until 18. i feel like im going to go to uni completely unprepared for university life because i have just had no experiences. when i talk to her about it she looses her temper and is so rude- today she told me i couldn't go somewhere because "YOU WILL GET RAPED AND COME HOME PREGNANT WITH AN STD."
I'm not really sure what i'm asking, it just gets me so down and i dont know what to do about it http://ift.tt/1UvupzE theres no reasoning with her. has anybody else been in a similar situation?
