Its a really long story so im going to summarise as much as I can. So we've been best friends for 15 years and have been pretty much inseparable since we were kids. Last September we both came to the same uni and share the same halls, her room is literally 5 steps opposite mine. Since weve been here she has become really good friends with a 3rd year student, I find they stay up late doing things together, they brush me off quite a lot to be together and whenever we would have to be in a pair it would be them not me and my friend. This girl she is with isn't on the good side of me, I can see right through her and she treats my fiend like **** as if shes so much better and because my friends quite a pushover she just takes it and treats 3rd year like a queen. Everyone in halls sees them two as best friends not me and her. Its actually really upsetting as I feel like **** about it but at the same time have no onne to talk to about it because I would always go to her . I cant deprive her of happiness because that would be selfish and cant speak to anyone else in my flat because it will get around so fast and she would find out anyway! I now feel she will ever come see me or talk to me is when 3rd year isn't around or they've fallen out. They fell out today and I told my friend that 3rd year was in the wrong which my friend has obviously told her as 3rd year is now in a ****ty mood with me. I just don't know what to do anymore, she also suffers with depression/ self harm and if I was to fall out with her im worried she will do something stupid which I would struggle to cope with.
