Ok. Another light hearted thread.
Just thinking of those little things that drive you crazy. But probably seem like a big deal when your entangled in the emotions of marriage, trying to navigate those waters without guidance.
This example isn't about my wife. It's about my ex. But now that I'm not entangled emotionally...instead of frustration, I see humor. But would have indeed caused me frustration when I was married, because shat like this would happen repeatedly....
My son has a remote car he got for Christmas. That thing sucks back batteries like nobody's business. He's always asking me to get more batteries for him.
So I went out and got some rechargeable ones for him. And I thought I'd splurge and get him the lithium ones (double a's), with an extra set for backup. That way he can charge one set and play with the other at the same time.
A couple days later, he asks me for some batteries. Wtf? (He's 8, btw). So I ask my ex about the batteries I just got him.
She said they were dead, so she threw them out...
Wtf? Did you not see the charger i put on your counter? And read the big "rechargeable" logo on each battery?
"No. I didn't know what that meant? I just threw them out because they were dead"
This coming from a university graduate nerd type...
