I've been with my boyfriend for four months and although we have our rough moments like every couple has, we are very happy. But there is one slight problem... Before I met him he was very close to a girl for 5 years as Bestfriends and in that last year he developed feelings for her. Yet she wasn't interested and lead him on, which lead to him realising it wasn't going anywhere.
Now after I've been with him, he had barely talked to her, yet now she has said she has feelings for him. It's hard for me because I want to not seem like the over protective girlfriend but I don't want her thinking she can try and take him from me.
3 months into our relationship I found out he was going to meet her without me knowing, yet I found out and went ballistic. It was a very rough time for us and I nearly gave up, but I can't, I love him too much and he said it would never happen again which I believe.
Yet now this girl has got a health problem that could affect her in the future linked to pregnancy and he has said he will be a shoulder for her to cry on if needed, which is understandable. But I don't know how to accept/understand/ act about the whole thing.. All I want is for us to be happy and feel assured she won't try and intervene. How do I make it clear that we are strong together and she cannot break that, yet not come across as territorial and push my boyfriend away in the process..?
