I worked this out last year. I've written previously about financial issues, he overran credit cards. That seems to have sorted itself out and he is being much more sensible with money for which I'm truly thankful.
He's a wonderful man in many ways, but the Highly Sensitive Personality means that he has periods of being overwhelmed where he's in pain, and grumpy.
