All my friends are girls, is that weird?

  • Thread Starter

Probably the opposite situation to most people on here but it's starting to concern me.

I'm a guy in my early 20s and the majority of my friends are girls! There are several who i'm quite close to, i.e we text constantly or we'll meet up for coffee or a meal just us two. My last job and my uni course were mostly girls so i've met far more girls than guys. A few of us went out last week and it was me and 6 girls. I did know a few guys at uni and at work, but we've drifted apart since I finished. I always felt they were so much closer with each other than me.

I've never had a girlfriend and i'm worried that I come across as too effeminate. I went to a family reunion a few months ago and a couple of my aunt/uncles friends thought I was gay. Now I have nothing against gay people, but I was absolutely mortified.

I'm too used to seeing girls as friends. I have no desire to progress things with anyone I know, that would be too weird and i'm fine how things are. I'd love to meet someone one day, but I don't have a clue how people meet or get into relationships. I've never flirted or pursued anyone because I have no self confidence in how I look.

Not too sure what to do here
