The only way my H will feel "comfortable" taking me out on a date is to leave our son with our gym that runs a monthly "parents nite out" (when our son is 3 and potty trained)..
He is both of these things.
Last month was our FIRST date in 7 months.....
I told him I was "excited" for our next date nite June 20th (fri nite)...
I told him about it last nite on phone (as he is traveling)....he said, "What if it's a hot nite?"
I replied, "Then we can go somewhere with outdoor seating??...I thought we agreed to do this once a month!"
He said, "I thought we didn't have to do this in the summer..."
I was disgusted...and told him I was shocked by this....when we agreed that we would do this monthly (this is for our marriage mind you!)...he'd rather be at our home grilling in front of our pool AND ENTERTAINING THE NIECE/NEPHEW HOSTING A MOVIE NITE FOR THEM......than taking his wife out. (FYI...this is what he did last year, he hosted a movie nite for his neice/nephew when we discusssed asking his sister to watch our son..) He has also told me he won't be asking his family for any more favors in the way of a date nite AND I'm not allowed to hire a sitter.
He told me to "find out when we needed to "cancel" by and not get charged..."
Told him his reaction made made me very "sad"....and that I was having trouble "processing" what I was "hearing" as we had "agreed" on this months ago.....
Would anyone else be frustrated? Angry?
I'm thinking of going out on my own with friends and let HIM deal with our son, niece and nephew.....he obviously doesn't want this with me...
