nope not trying to catch a spouse or even my kids but have some legal issues with my landlord/s (code violations) and they decided to put the property on the market. Showed up today with realtor ready to go with a camera without 24 hours notice claiming they had rescheduled appt to take photos on Saturday, which they hadn't. Played stupid saying they had talked to me Saturday, nope, then played stupid saying sent a text, I showed text of cancellation and NO rescheduling, he played stupid, saying he thought he had included the reschedule on the cancellation. Nope, he didn't. Apparently did the same to my neighbor!
There is more involved but he has put a lockbox (legal) for the realtor however I don't trust him to give 24 hours notice of entry...also think he may come in to do work when I'm not here (not emergency work) without notice....
So want to install surveillance camera for when I'm not here.
But want something that landlord or others won't be able to see, and that will also give me a time-date stamp and get a clear view of people's faces and also voice recording.
I want to go into the city tomorrow to get something. I have choice of Walmart or Best Buy. Something that runs on batteries is best because of ungrounded electrical outlets I have a shortage of places where I can plug things in and leave them safely, also want it to be discrete, as in not able to be seen. Small is better but with a wide angle or be able to be focused on the doorway.
EDITED TO SAY....after checking the laws...IT WOULD BE BETTER IF I HAD ONE THAT IS ***ONLY*** CAPABLE OF VIDEO AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CAPACITY FOR AUDIO....In my state it is illegal to make an audio recording of a private conversation regardless of the fact that the people having it are in your home without permission...(especially when I have reason to believe that people will be in my home without permission...)
