So basically I have liked this guy form my dancing society for a few time now. I see him a lot due to practice sessions even though I'm a beginner and he is more advanced. He comes and start talking to me sometimes and when he sees I'm struggling with my routine he just comes and offers his help. Also during competition he congratulate me after I passing to the second round (almost everyone in my team did) and he didn't to any other beginner.
I was wondering if you think I may have chances with him? We are not 'that close' we talk and stuff but just as acquaintances and not friends yet. Also our group of friends is different and I go more with the beginners and he hang out hour with the more advanced.
On saturday I will have a society ball where he will be going and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice and what to do? I would like to get closer to him so we can become friends, also I would like to see if I have any chances with him. I think this ball is an opportunity as it is basically the only day of the year where everyone dances with everyone. Also just to mention I'm a bit shy sometimes, mainly when I like someone.
