Virginity... Is it an Issue?

Hey just wanting some advice here! So I've met this girl recently through work and I'm really interested in her. We've been texting a lot and there's a bit of flirting going on, I'm sure we're both interested unless shes just really overly flirty and that.. We've planned to do something as soon as we're both free but there's something come up today that's bothering me. I found out that she's not a virgin, she had a boyfriend whenever. (You're thinking 'So what?') But this obviously came as a massive shock as I didn't take her to be like that at all. Far from it. She's only 17 too, I never expected it and also she said previously that she was with her ex 'ages ago' or something like that. The issue being that I'm a virgin myself. I'm only a year older being 18 but instantly after finding out my heart just sunk.. I know chances are my first wont be a virgin and if I really like her it doesn't matter blah blah. But it just makes me feel... Embarrased? Apart from this she was perfect for me and now I just can't stop thinking about it. Feel Second best really, like I never got there first, but mainly it's just the embarrassment and how awkward it is for me if we got to that stage? If she hadn't mentioned anything like this then what else is she hiding too? Really don't know what to think at the moment. Anybody had a situation like this?
