| One of my family members is seriously ill at the moment and we have all been waiting three months for a very important appointment that was going to take place. Yesterday was the day of that appointment, and my (relatively) new boyfriend didn't contact me at all to ask how things had went. He knew I was feeling anxious and apprehensive about it. Now, he has been very busy moving house. He finally contacted me later this evening, and when he did he stayed on the phone for five minutes before saying he had to go! When I asked why he said he wouldn't feel better until the house was less chaotic and he wanted to sort everything out. But for me, it would have helped to speak longer considering how things have been. Maybe it's just a case of a problematic week...but shouldn't he be making the effort? How much does it take to send one text? I find the line between being too needy and not too dependent on another individual becomes a fine line during a family illness. You tend to lean on someone more, but...I don't think asking 'how did things go?' is too much to ask! Is it? | |||

Feel like he should have contacted me - should I give him a break or am I right?
