I didn't come all the way to study here and sit in my room. I would like to learn and engage with the local people and their culture. Currently, I live in a catered accommodation and we don't have flats, instead all the rooms are just next to each other. There is a group that I would really like to get to know them since I feel there would be a lot in common but I'm not sure what to do after introducing myself? What questions do I ask? What topics do I talk about? I do sit with them in the dinning hall but I'm usually really quite because I don't know what to say. How do I take it further and hang out with them outside of the dinning hall? We are all undergraduate and studying science or engineering.
