This may sound a very silly post but Im in a bit of a pickle.
Ive been with my boyfriend 2 and a bit years im 21 hes 25. Im at uni he works at a property development firm as their accountant. Next weekend is his Christmas party which ive been invited to.
Im starting to feel very stressed about it as there is a girl who he works with who quite frankly seems to determined to get with him. I know nothing has happened as my boyfriends told me everything but I really have grown increasingly jealous and insecure about this girl.
Shes the secretary at the office she texts him all the time, she's always trying to get his attention or being a drama queen she once phoned him because she was upset somebody called her 'babe'. The last 3 work nights out they had been on she got so drunk and apparently had no money that she ended up staying on the sofa at his house. She also apparently said it was a shame I was coming to the xmas party as they couldn't spend as much time together whatever that means.
She follows him everywhere if he says that he is going to the pub with his friends she'll turn up and then spend the night with them and tag along with them clubbing etc. I don't care if he goes out with girls or have female friends but it upsets me when he cancels seeing me for a 'boys night' and this girl ends up going with him. She once turned up at the pub when me and him were at dinner and saw me and left so again it was clear she was just there to see my boyfriend.
Ive never met this girl but shes driving me insane I feel sick at the thought of meeting her. I want to look attractive and good but I know shes probably better looking than me, im also chronically shy and struggle in social situations and from what ive heard shes confident and bubbly. I just know I wont match up to her but at the same time I don't want her to see me and think what shes doing is ok. I just dotn know how to act it will be the first time meeting her but its at my boyfriends work party so ill have to make an effort. Any help would be amazing
