My relationship ended with an ex a year ago. It was a very long and drawn out process but we loved each other very much & in the end long distance just got the better of us.
I haven't seen him since the split, I have spoken to him once on the phone to tell him that a family member of mine that he was close to had passed away - otherwise nothing.
I found out through a mutual friend that he has gone to China to work- currently where all the typhoons are & he is right in the centre of it. I am worried and although we have ended, I still care.
Would it be intrusive/stalker to ask about his safety or just hope that his family would contact me if there were any concerns? I should add I do still speak to his cousin on the odd occasion and live close by to his family. It is not in my intention to have a reconciliation of a relationship with him at any point in the near future as well.
