What do you think about having a long distance relationship during university?

I'm sort of going to have one... I'll only be about 40 miles away but obv we'll both be busy and it'll be hard to find time to see each other what with conflicting work/uni schedules. I felt pretty good about it until we had the uni 'talk', now I'm dreading it :( we both said we didn't know if it'd work being apart a lot but want to give it a try. I won't lie though the prospect is horribly scary and worrying despite the fact that I know many couples have successfully stayed together and whatnot. it all suddenly feels a bit too real and a bit daunting! what do you think? are they really as hard/awful as they seem?
