Is he trying to get me, or get rid of me?

There's this guy at college who I drunkenly told that I liked ages ago, and since then he's been texting me like every day, which I took as a positive thing. I figured that maybe he's trying to get to know me better since I like him, or something. But he started asking me for advice about another girl, and then when he went to a festival last week he came back and told me about this girl he'd slept with there, and how he really likes her and wants to see her again. He talks to me really openly about girls and sex, and I can't tell if he's trying to make me jealous, or trying to get me to stop liking him. I'm scared it's the latter, because I really really like this guy. Help!
