| I've known I have had a galbladder going bad for years, and despite all the pain the doctors won't take it out unless it's a health risk for me. If I push enough I'm sure I could find a surgeon to take it out, but insurance won't cover it. So I've learned to live with it by eating right and staying active. The only time I notice it is when I start getting pain, which a low fat diet really helps. I stay away from fried foods, red meat, cream sauces, meats high in fat, etc. The last time I had severe pains was my fault. My husband and I went out of town to a place not known for having the healthiest restaurants. I went to Urgent Care, and they scheduled an ultrasound to look at it. When I was giving my information to the nurse I was informed after insurance paid I'd have to shell out an extra $600. Seriously!? I told them I didn't need to pay for an ultrasound, just for them to say "Well, it's not far enough along to take it out." A day later, after drinking a lot of water and eating a ton of veggies the pain went away. This last week I've been so busy I didn't realize how much red meat I was consuming. I've not been having severe pains, but just a dull annoying pain and some bloating. It's lasted two days now, and no matter how well I eat/drink the pain isn't going away. Does anyone know any remedies for galbladder pain? | |||
