| Evening, So, on Friday, I was at a birthday party and got speaking with a girl. We spoke for about 10 minutes , then I went off to mingle other people. About 2 hours later, we found each other again, or rather, she found me; thereafter, we spoke for about an hour, maybe, and were laughing and lightly touching each other, which she initiated, and she asked me even, in a roundabout way, whether I had a gf. After about an hour of speaking to her, I went to the toilet and was distracted on the way back, so didn't see her until the very end of the night, when I asked her for her number; I was a little surprised when she said, 'oh, I don't have my phone, and I can't remember my number.' This statement set the alarm bells ringing, but I pushed on and asked if I could give her my number, to which she agreed and offered her hand so I could write my number on it (I eventually found a bit of paper, wrote my no. on that, and gave it to her.) Just as I walked away, she said, unprompted, 'I'll text you.' Of course, she hasn't texted me, and I'd like other members, esp. girls, to suggest possible reasons. I wish she would have just said something like, 'Although I liked talking to you tonight, I don't want to take things further. I hope that's okay.' It would have a hurt a bit, obviously, but I would have more than understood. Look forward to your responses. Anon | |||
