Some background:
Basically, I really like this girl. She's reserved but fun to be around. We've known each other for a while and attended secondary school together. I always had a soft spot for her and never had the balls to pursue it. She would often walk with me to classes etc.
Some time went by. I was in a relationship during my first year at uni and didn't think we'd speak again. That summer, my relationship ended and she wrote on twitter for my birthday. This was a nice gesture. It got me thinking about catching up. I'm friendly with some of her mates so we got together, exchanged numbers... Unfortunately, our unis are a long way apart so meeting during term is almost impossible.
Over the next few months we text and met again (in a smaller group) for drinks. It was a good night; I noticed she spent lots of time around me - maybe it was just the drinks! We got talking and there was definitely chemistry. Anyway, I'm not sure how much can be told through social media, but in the weeks that followed she liked a few of my photos (including pictures of me). This sounds stalkerish but, for whatever reason, she never likes pictures of other boys. Positive signs! She also got in contact for my birthday again, only this time, sent long and quite flirtatious texts.
Before now, I've been reluctant to ask her on a date before I knew her better - and also because its incredibly difficult to meet with her in the first place. I'm usually confident but don't want to screw this up! She's certainly opened up with me recently so it may be time to just bite the bullet and ask? Does it sound like she likes me? Outside opinions would be helpful :)
