One of my friends recently found herself with a lot of time on her hands and very little money.
She has been a close friend for a while and I enjoy spending time with her but as she now has no income and I am on a very good wage I have taken to paying when she comes to see me. This sometimes involves food and usually involves drink. It is also always just the two of us.
Nothing has been defined and I don't really intend on starting the awkward "so errr what is this?" conversation, and my experience of her is that she wouldn't tell me either way.
I am personally not sure what it is or what I want it to be. I do however want to know how it would be perceived.
If two heterosexual people of opposite genders have a meal in a nice restaurant together and one pays, would you perceive this to be a date, or can it fall under the umbrella of friendship?
