I have always been intrigued by the idea of 'daddy issues' having never met my dad, but is it a real thing?
For those unfamiliar with the concept, it's the idea that girls without fathers will seek a father figure in relationships, leading to neediness and jealousy or need constant approval from guys or reassurance that they are wanted/loved.
I mean, I do crave and highly value male attention and don't feel special/confident unless I receive it and if I don't have a boyfriend I'm constantly looking for someone to be intimate with. Actually any attention from boys just makes me feel loved and protected.
But is this actually because of an absent father?
Put the internet to work for you.
