ok so i'm a girl (16) and have a friend who is a guy (17) and our friendship is mostly teasing kind of flirt banter??? and recently i've started to realise how super attractive he is and kinda wanna get on that (but not in a boyfriend way, more in a fwb way) but literally have no clue how into me he is in that way. i'm just curious as how other people interpret a couple of signalsi've got from him and... if they even are signals or if i'm a bit deluded.
1. teasing. like i get that teasing is normal in a lot of girl/guy friendships and i have plenty of guy friends who tease me in a way that i know isn't because they're into me. but he's easily the most.... tenacious?? with his teasing lmao. and friends have commented that there's a /thing/ between us when we banter. idk.
2. he's sent me random shirtless/flirty snapchats and we've had a couple of flirtish snap sessions??? (including one where i was doing a favour for him and his friends and joked that they owed me a bunch of drinks and he sent a snap saying 'you get one' and another 'with me')
3. he's checked me out a few times and made a few under his breath comments about me looking hot/my boobs etc.
4. idk if this is him being touchy feely or what but the other day he sat on my phone and i refused to reach under his ass to get it cos i thought he'd tease me and so sat on his and he happily wrestled with me and stuck his hand under my legs. also (probably even less relevant) we're in a play atm and we're playing a married couple and he always puts his arm around my waist or hand on lower back.
6. we nearly kissed once but he said it would be too awkward in school. this was following my snogging a mate of ours and the whole school finding out and teasing us so idk if it was that he didn't want to go through that or something else but that was a thing anyway.
5. also last thing is that me and my friend ranked the boys in our year that we would snog and the boys were determined to find out and he said that he would be insulted if he wasn't on it and when i kind of non-verbally confirmed he was he was pleased and our mates told me i shouldn't have swollen up his ego.
....reading all this back i've just pretty much confirmed that my friend is a 17yro boy lmao. i also sound really dumb. but i guess i just want to figure out if this is just friendly banter that's a bit on the sexual side because like. we're teenagers. or if he's attracted to me and i won't be making a mistake in trying to fool around w him /and/ sustain a friendship.
