stubborn boyfriend won't say sorry

hi, myself and my boyfriend have been together around two years now, and he is one of the most stubborn people i have ever met. he will never admit to being wrong and never apologise for what he has done wrong. i always admit to and apologise to mistakes i have made, but that is never reciprocated by him. i'm really unsure what to do; i can hardly ask him to apologise for never apologising, so i'm really at a head end. any advice?
