Should I take a dry run before having Sex with a girl I like?

OK so I've been dating a guy I really like for a few months and we've done everything but the deed (I'm a guy too). The thing is he's quite experienced and I'm well...not. Should I have a dry run with a stranger so I've got more confidence and am not absolutely useless when I do it with someone I care about?
