Please forgive for this post as well as a few others....It wasn't until tonight as I was watching some live websites in Key West that I realized how far out of line I have been with my thinking....You see I still have a tendency to look at life as that perfect world we grew up in...Believe me this is not that I am senile in any way...It's probably that we have never let that special part of us that fell in love die...Tonight I watched the young people of the new generation...I found in Key West they have some great hot spots...There I tried to judge myself...Would I be one of those girls with their actions?...Then the next thought was "it's a different world out there girl"...Now shut your mouth...In plain English my answer is "I just don't know"...
We have had a wonderful marriage...Near 58 years of it...Oh, I do know sorrow along with happiness, but this is all part of learning and acceptance....I must admit that this world we live in scares me to death, but I am sure this does many people...
There is nothing easy about life...We have found that even as wonderful as our younger years were with the children that our real happiness is now...These are our Golden Years...More golden than anyone can ever imagine...You cling to each other like the first day you met...You have lost all your inhibitions and the sky is the limit...If you were lucky enough you would have kept your sex life active and found that this is really hot...I didn't start FE until age 68 and I also believe that a woman grows more sexual as she ages...Of the two sexes I believe that we are the late bloomers...In other words it really gets hot from your 50's on up...IMO, it is at this time in our lives that we must help our husbands/partners...He must be kept alive by our wise words and actions...I know as I have been known to be the leader of the pack...He doesn't always know what I'm doing, but his actions show it...In this regard "flirting" and 'tempting" with some hot body language will have been a plus...and it sure does keep you young...
I guess you make life what you can...You try and gut it out with the hard days and cherish the good...and if you were like me you want to die in his arms...
