I went to elementary school with a girl and started to really like her by the end of grade 6. I was really shy and couldn't work up the courage to tell her I liked her.She liked me for a bit but by the time I found out it had been a while and wasn't sure if she still felt that way. We then went to different high schools and I only saw her once or twice a year through track and field in grade 9,10, and 11. I held off on a year for university and now I'm about to go to the university she actually chose to go to as well. I still really like her and haven't had a girlfriend ever because my heart is with the girl I like. Me and the girl were good friends and I haven't seen her in almost 3 years, Iv'e texted her a couple of times but not that much over the last 3 years. I want to tell her how I feel this upcoming school year but I am wondering if I should see if I can continue our friendship throughout university and tell her how I feel in the last year, because I don't want to tell her how I feel and for our friendship to be gone if she says no. I know that sounds stupid but I want to be able to hangout with her and not jeopardize our friendship.I feel so happy when I'm with her and don't want to mess things up between us. What should I do?
