I think this is an excellent example to illustrate exactly what a friend zone actually is. I think women would advertise it as:Quote:
She said we're "just friends" and she can't deal with a relationship right now because of certain issues.
However I feel that we're very physically comfortable with each other. Today for example, we linked hands on multiple occasions, hugged a couple of times, she rested her head on my shoulder etc.
Guys I like purely as friends who I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with because they're more like brothers to me.
Perfectly reasonable? I don't think so. I think what a friend zone is to a girl is a "zone" of guys that are good backups. I would say they think of it like this:
Im currently pursuing or involved with X. But if I fail then I have a group of needy guys I can manipulate and quickly switch my entire philosophy on be in a relationship with…if it ever came to that!
This is why if you make your feelings for a girl you like perfectly known and she is forced to say no, look elsewhere. Don't waste your time thinking "im such a good friend" like a patsy.
Id like to add also that not all girls are like this, the ones that are clear about their feelings, where they just tell you, no means no means no...thats what should happen.
