My parents have always kept my birth certificate and other documents hidden away and have never let me see them.
Last night I found them while my parents were out, and I got the shock of my life.
My name and DOB, and my fathers name and DOB are all correct. But my Mother's name wasn't on the certificate. Instead, there was the name of a woman that I've never heard of before.
I also found my mother's birth certificate (which was all correct), and a copy of a birth certificate in the name of the woman who is listed as my birth mother on my birth cert.
I'm completely confused. I look exactly like my mother so I don't think I could be someone else's daughter, but this other woman's name being on the form makes no sense.
I was born in 1999, is it possible that my parents were able to put this other woman down on my BC as my mother?
I don't know what to do now... If I confront them about it, they'll know I've been snooping and will probably kill me
