Priorities

So, is it normal for the wife to hold her family (mother, father, sisters and brothers) higher on the priorities list than her husband? Like, if the husband came below all of them on her list, is that detrimental to the relationship? When they eventually have children, where will that leave him and possibly the new baby? Should the focus be, for both the wife and husband, on starting their own family?
