Posting this as anonymous because it's serious.
A few weeks ago, someone very close to me was arrested for attempted rape. It was very scary as I was in the house at the time and there was heavily armed police...it's not something you want to ever see.
Anyway, the charge is BS because I was with the person on the night in question. He's got a solicitor who agrees that the charges are rubbish.
Apparently it'll all be cleared up in January, but does this stay on the person's record? Do they have to declare it? I'm worried about this because if they have to, it means serious consequences for me and others.
