So there's this guy I went to school with. He was few years older than me and I guess there was some attraction between us. We're family friends so we know of each other but really haven't had a conversation, apart from saying hello. Anyway, what happened was my friends caught on that he kept staring at me constantly and would appear wherever we were. He never talked to me, and he was the kind of guy who wasn't shy, he was really talkative and would talk to any girl, but whenever he was near me, he couldn't speak and he'd only stare. And when i mean stare, it's like a full on piercing gaze, it honestly feels like he's looking into me.
My friends thought it would be a good idea to play a prank on him on valentines day so we did (we were 13 btw) and he seemed to find it hilarious, but by the end of it he got a bit annoyed so we apologized and it was all good between us. He soon left school and I never saw him again until the next year. And this was at a family members wedding. He didn't realise I was there and when he did, there was like this shock, surprise and just genuine happiness when he saw me. And then he just stared at me through the entire wedding! It was so weird, but I have to admit, I liked him too. There was one part, where I went outside, and it was dark, so he went and sat on the other side of the road until I went inside. Later my friend, who is a mutual friend sort of hinted he liked me, but I didn't really know if I could believe him.
So, a few years pass and I meet him again at a funeral. I had to pass a tray of food to the front room, where he was and I didn't realise he was there, and all of a sudden he got up and said he'll take it, all the time just staring at me - but this stare, it honestly feels like he's piercing my soul. Like he can tell how I feel. It's such a weird feeling. It's like a connection we have without even speaking. I couldn't look him in the eyes so I walked away. ( 2 years ago)
Then later on this year there was this school fair where I was helping out and I spotted him from across the playground and that's when he recognised me and again, just the staring. He would try anything to get closer to me, he even tried to make his baby niece run up to me, which didn't work out too well. He just kept following me. He's not a shy guy, but he is just so unwilling to talk to me it's annoying! On top of this, him and my brother used to be really good friends, but now it's just awkward and uncomfortable between them. Back to the story - A few days later, we're driving by (me and my brother) and my brother spots them all, so he puts his hand up to say hello - the guy is so focused on me, he doesn't even realise my brother is saying hello until my brother horns at him, to which he finally waves back. (Again, it's like this strong stare)
And even recently, I walked into a few of his friends a few weeks ago and they all seem to just stare at me too - like with this protectiveness? I just really don't understand.. So I guess guys my question is - is he just freaky or does he have feelings for me?
