Most of you are well aware that my H refuses to hire a sitter and only, rarely, will he ask his family to watch our son (ie, in the case of a funeral, etc...)
the ONLY way he agreed to go out with me is with our gym's run "parents nite out"...which they host monthly...
I gave him WEEKS notice that they're running it THIS FRIDAY...to which he just said, "ok"
Then on Saturday I reminded him..
He flipped out and said, "oh no....that's' my poker nite..."
I was shocked and kept quiet as I wasn't sure if they had enough kids...
They told me today that they ARE running it....(from 6-9 pm, $21) I said I wanted to go...I said, what are we going to do?
He said that he "tried" to get his friends to rearrange poker nite but that they won't...and "oh well"...and I started to get upset....and said we AGREED to this every month...and I gave him ample notice..
He just said "I forgot"....I said it's not my job to keep reminding him and that I'm sad and UPSET.....and that I plan to go out anyways....
And then I asked how "he was going to make it up to me"....would he ask his sister(s)? pay them??? pay a sitter...?? so that we could go out the next nite?????
He just looked at me and said "no"....and that we have the "rest of our lives" to spend together....
He then said that I go out with friends plenty...I said I go out with friends during the week, when I can get you to watch our son, but NEVER on weekends and NEVER ON A DATE NITE!!!!!
I am BULLSH*T...angry and have no words at this point......he should be ashamed!!! this is the plan that HE agreed to and he is bailing? and even if he did "forget" he refuses to ask family to make it up to me the next nite???? I know they would say yes....and when I tried to ask his family to watch our son and they AGREED....he refused to go...
