Should I make a move or wait?

  • Thread Starter

Ok so I asked a girl who I really like if she was free for lunch or drinks before she takes off to France for the academic year and she said "yeah sure" but mentioned probably being occupied with work (she's a swimming teacher here and she's going to keep that job for when she's back in the UK for holidays) and told me she'll let me know but said I'll ask her instead. After a brief chat about other things, I mentioned us having to do something together before she leaves and then she said "definitely" (If I recall correctly, multiple times)

This was last Thursday, and we last spoke on Sunday, I wasn't certain she seemed interested on the day, as there's history of her rejecting me a few times, so I tried to pay attention to her body language but nothing (e.g. avoiding eye contact) gave much away of communicating another message besides her words. This was results day so emotions would've been all over the place. I remember an ex-friend telling me how we "definitely" had to meet up after the last day of Sixth Form and then ended up sending me a lengthy WhatsApp message calling quits and deciding it was best we went our separate ways after ignoring my phone calls and taking long to send replies that were short and almost disengaging.

I just wonder if I should start thinking about approaching her or if I could wait a little longer, or any other ideas like not bothering full-stop. Any ideas or thoughts on this. Thanks :)
