My friend was wearing a dress which kept blowing up in the wind today in town and we noticed that the screen of his huge DSLR was recording and most of the time it was pointed at us. A woman also came up to us and said the guy is recording us and was obviously recording my friends dress going up. Could we report him for this. There were lots of cameras about but I'm insure of the legality here. I know it is legal to film in a public place where there is no expectation of privacy and my friend had no reasonable expectation of privacy being in the middle of a busy town. I certainly see the moral issue, but legal and moral and two different things and I'm wondering whether action could be taken against him for doing this? I can't find any existing cases or legal issues relating to this on the internet.
