Sorry in advance for the length...
Me and my boyfriend are taking a holiday soon. We had been looking at a couple of holiday apartments, and found a few that we liked. My boyfriend didn't want to be further than 10 minutes' walk from the beach, and while it didn't bother me to be a bit further, I understood his preference.
We found one that was lovely, not too expensive, everything was great, except that it was ether 25 minutes' walk from the beach (according to google maps, but we walk fast anyway), or one metro stop and 15 minutes walk, or a direct bus from the flat to the beach,
We also found another one about £130 more expensive, but very nice also, and 10 minutes' walk from the beach. We tried to book it, but our cards wouldn't allow it because of limits, so I offered to ask my father to borrow his card and then I would transfer him the money owed.
I was alone in our flat at the time, and I had been trying to look for other apartments (in case my Dad couldn't do it and neither could his parents). The first apartment I mentioned, my boyfriend dd not want to stay there, because of the beach distance, but he really liked the second one, as did I.
My Dad was able to do it, so I sent him the link for the second apartment. A few hours later, I recieved an email from my Dad saying that it was booked, and realised to my horror that I had sent him the wrong link... I had sent him the first one.
If we cancelled at this point, we would lose about £200, so it wasn't worth it. I told my boyfriend right away and he was so angry, and did not speak to me for a whole day. He said I had ruined it, and I tried to reason with him but he was furious, which I understand.
He even said he would not be going on the holiday with me... believe me, all I can think about is how I wish I could turn back the clock. I feel like he should break up with me (not only because of this, but because I am clumsy in general, and I do stupid little things a lot) he later apologised and I am sure he is still mad, but things seem ok and he says he is coming on the holiday.
I cannot stop thinking of what an idiot I am. I have never done something as stupid as that before. I cannot imagine his parents and friends wishing for him to stay with an idiot like me anymore. Would others break up with their partner for that? He said he doesn't want to, but maybe he'll change his mind... :s
