Bit random, and rather keep anon as I think they are on here-
I'm always going to my friend's house. We grew up together practically and spend a lot of time together. I'm also good friends with his younger brother, so we all hang out.
But sometimes his mum is home, then his dad get in from work at bang on 5.20pm...I get the impression that I'm in the way, or inconveniencing them.
The thing is, I always go there. They never come to mine. The downside about them is that they aren't that independent. They aren't lazy.
They wouldn't walk to mine (about 30mins), nor would they cycle or get a bus (about 4 buses share our route!!). They normally get lifts from their parents all the time.
I have no problem coming to theirs...I just feel a bit awkward now.
To be fair to the parents- I can sympathise, but still don't think it's fair, as they know what their kids are like!
Don't know what to do about it, I don't want to go there and not enjoy myself, and feel uncomfortable.
