Is he interested or just being friendly?

A sales guy kept asking me questions about uni and where I work etc. After getting me to call his phone because I didn't know my number for the card application form, he told me to text him for his course notes (as he's on a similar course). He repeated this just as I left. Does he sound interested, joking around or is it hard to tell?
