Going crazy over a crush

So it takes a lot for me to actually like someone... but ever since Ive started university Ive seen a guy who I now have a masssiveeeee crush on! At first I thought he didn't notice me so to stop myself going crazy I forced myself to speak to him (I had a reason too as I know an acquaintance who he just so happens to be close with!) anyway ever since then he has just been casually going about his life (still not noticing me). A few of my friends that I have made in university (who know him) have told me he is a very religious guy that takes his education seriously. I know I have no chance any advice on how to get over him?? Ive been trying to for the past two weeks and Im still the same:@... PS I know I sound pyscho but I really just needed to vent!
