Liking someone

I've known this guy for about a year. I like him and he keeps hinting he likes me. However my friend who also knows him told me he had said he likes her as well. But when I asked him about it he denied it as I expected. He always asks me questions like 'what would you do if I grabbed you and kissed you?'
Its really confusing me and any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
