i met this guy at a birthday and we chatted and became friends, however that is all it was and ever has been, hes never flirted with me, not even put a ;) face in texts or anything as simple as that.. we have "normal" conversations and from my point of view he was merely a friend and nothing more. he invited me over to his once and he cooked me a meal, but still spoke and acted like a friend. we'd went on a night out and due to the circumstances i ended up staying at his, however i slept in his bed with my clothes on, i didnt even notice hed stripped down haha, but nothing happened, we didnt even touch. so basically i wasnt getting any impression he was interested.
then i invited him on a night out and he brought some of his friends along. one of them caught my eye but i thought it would be wrong in some way to hit on him, especially in front of my friend. however his friend added me on fb and we got chatting, met up and got on really well, we have loads in common and flirted a lot, play fighting that sorta thing. eventually we ended up kissing and we've been spending more time together, acting like a couple- holding hands, going out for meals. however he told me that our mutual male friend apparently told him that he thought he was going to have something special with me.. this surprised me because as i mentioned he hadnt acted interested at all. so i texted the disinterested friend mentioning that i liked his friend (the one id kissed), because i thought he could help me out, like hint things to him, because im shy. however this resulted in him telling me that he thought him and i were going somewhere and had something going on. agai n, i was totally surprised because from my point of view there was nothing, i hadnt flirted or led him on or acted interested in any way, so i couldnt understand how he viewed us as anything more than friends. so being told now that he is/was really into me, makes me feel bad for starting a relationship with his friend.
we havent told him yet, im not really sure how he'll react or how he'll feel. i dont want to hurt his feelings, i havent done anything with his friend to hurt him intentionally, it just happened. ive tried to imagine myself in his position and id probably feel really p-ssed off that id introduced a friend to a person i was into, just for them to 'steal' them i suppose. but as i said, he didnt act like he was into me. so is it wrong?
