| Hi everyone, I'm new here I don't want to come across as some kind of misogynist because I am certainly not one. I'll give some brief outline about myself. I am 23, and to put it bluntly I am scared of ever having a relationship with a woman. I have never had a girlfriend in my entire life. I think what puts me off even trying to date a girl, or look for a relationship fundamentally is my own parents failed marriage/divorce. The bitterness between them was unreal. My dad always says to me ' Son never have a relationship, Never get married, It's not worth it mate' But another thing is my mates who are in relationships. Plenty of times when we have been out in the They will say to me something along of the lines of '' You are in heaven mate, You are single, You can go to the pub when you want', You have no ties no commitments' etc etc. I also always see couples arguing with each other. It certainly gives a negative effect on me. I am not saying I don't ever want to have a relationship with a woman. But do the positives outweigh being Single? As I have never had a relationship before, I don't think I am able to comment on how good they are, But when friends say to me how lucky I am? I just don't know. Another quote friends tell me who are either in relationships/marriages tell me is ' Lust, becomes love, becomes tolerance' I like being single because I can go to the pub when I want, and do what I want to do. Guys, as someone who doesn't has a clue, please people enlighten me! cheers | |||
